.               Hi, my name is Emily Jane. I'm an oil painting artist based in                                                                              West Wales.
I typically just paint what looks pretty to me, and most commonly that is my home town. Growing up in the countryside and the seaside, surrounded by beautiful greenery and stunning sunsets dancing with the ocean is an inspiring force within my art. Portraits are also a big factor within my paintings. They were the first thing I specialised in, and it's only recently I have moved my focus to landscapes!

I have been interested in art since I was a young girl, but being home educated during my pre-teen and subsequent teenage years is what really made me take a keen interest in it. I played around with many different mediums, acrylic, watercolour, pencils, pastels until I found oil patinting. I tried my first oil paints around 14 years old and it just clicked. I haven't looked back since then. I am now 22 years old, enamoured with everything oil paint.

I hope to capture a feeling or just the pure, unedited view within my paintings, and I hope in some way it can tell a story to the viewer.
